Flood Waters Return To Eastern Kentucky Operation Relief ready to begin delivering emergency supplies......... Christian Appalachian Project - Floodwaters have once again returned across southern and southeastern Kentucky. Numerous creeks and rivers are running at or above bank full. Nearly every county in southeastern Kentucky is under a flood warning. Many roads are blocked and there are reports of water in some homes. High water and mudslides have blocked access roads threatening both lives and property. All of this as a result of nearly 5 inches of rain falling over the area in less than a 36 hour period. Whenever there is natural disaster within our reach, CAP puts into place Operation Relief a program of CAPs Operation Sharing. Emergency supplies will be gathered and affected communities will be contacted for their assessed needs. Once established and roads made passable, Operation Relief trucks will begin delivering emergency supplies, food, water and household goods to aid in the relief efforts. But for this immediate response to be successful, we need your help. Your support will provide a hand up to individuals and families in dire need. Your gift will make a difference. On behalf of those God has called us to serve, bless you for your help.
